LMC Group is delighted to announce that its Modular Manufacturing Division is to take over the former Procter & Gamble factory in Nenagh in County Tipperary and plans to expand its workforce by more than 200 people.
We currently employ more than 100 people at our facility in Birdhill in Tipperary, but demand for our products has meant that we will expand our workforce over the next three years.
We plan to move from building modular rooms to full turn-key housing solutions over the next 12 months in our new Nenagh facility.
Tipperary Labour TD Alan Kelly welcomed the good news for the local economy and said that the company had been planning to expand in Limerick, but had been convinced to instead invest in the new site in Nenagh.
Martin Lydon of LMC said: “It is a testament to the versatility and hard work of our current staff that we have decided to expand locally - the goodwill of the local Tipperary people combined with the support of Tipperary County Council, the planning office and the recent engagement of Enterprise Ireland have all combined to make the expansion to Nenagh the perfect fit for LMC.”
Stephen McConnell of LMC Group added: “The Infrastructure in Nenagh combined with its long successful history in manufacturing and access through the M7 to the national motorway system makes Nenagh the perfect location for LMC.”

Martin Lydon and Stephen McConnell, founders of LMC Group, would like to thank all of our clients and suppliers for their valued support since we began trading in 2008. Above all, we would like to say a very big thank you to all of our staff for their fantastic work and commitment in helping us in achieving our 10 years in business on our milestone anniversary today Tuesday October 9th 2018.
Ten years ago today, LMC began this journey from very humble beginnings and traded through some very challenging years to become one of the most trusted and forward-thinking Group of Engineering Companies in Ireland. We were proud to achieve the ‘Subcontractor Of The Year’ accolade at the 2018 Irish Construction Industry Awards.
We look forward to an exciting future and we know that we can count on your continued support.
A very sincere thank you.
LMC are delighted to have achieved certification to the new safety standards ISO 45001:2018. We have also successfully completed our transition for the ISO 9001 and 14001 from the 2008 to the 2015 standards.
This was a huge undertaking that encompassed all elements of our accredited QHSE systems. We have proudly held ISO 9001, 14001 and OSHAS 18001 since 2012 and this year extended the certification to include all three companies within the group.
Congratulations to all involved! Download our certificates and contact our Health & Safety team here.
